Emaho Foundation is a Scottsdale based 501(c)3 non-profit Tibetan Buddhist group which will present its annual Zone of Ahimsa fundraising celebration on Saturday, December 6, 2008 Taking place at the New Vision Spiritual Growth Center in Scottsdale, the festivities will commemorate the 1989 awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to the Dalai Lama, the world's best-known Tibetan Buddhist leader and international figurehead in the cause for peace on our planet. This will be a time for peace-loving people of all faiths and those outside of any faith tradition, to gather in the name of non-violence, compassion and universal harmony. Kelvin Mockingbird’s masterful flute playing possesses a meditative quality and an uncanny ability to evoke the sounds of nature. Aaron White’s acoustic guitar virtuosity compliments Kelvin’s flute beautifully, conjuring expansive Southwest vistas.
Sat Kartar Khalsa - Spirit Voyage recording artist and noted singer in the Sikh tradition, Sat Kartar is praised in Yoga Journal magazine for her “crystalline voice...an instrument imbued with a welcoming, almost maternal warmth and an evocative style of phrasing.” Pranav Mehta - An inspired interpreter of Indian classical music’s rich vocal traditions, Pranv will offer a selection of bhajans, timeless Hindu devotional songs from his recent Canyon Records album Cosmic Dawn. All proceeds will go to benefi t Emaho Foundation’s general programs and operating costs. Emaho Foundation is dedicated to the preservation and sharing of Tibetan Culture and operates solely through the generous donation of all interested.
